With a strong pipeline of commercial, industrial and government projects, our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator / Project Manager who enjoys turning opportunities into successful projects.

This is more than just an estimating position. You'll become a key part of the business, working closely with management to identify new opportunities, prepare winning tenders, manage project costs and support successful project delivery from concept through to completion.

What You'll Be Doing

Every day will be different, with responsibilities including:

• Pricing commercial electrical projects, maintenance works and upgrade packages.
• Developing accurate cost estimates from drawings, specifications and client requirements.
• Preparing tender submissions for commercial and government clients.
• Assessing project risks and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Negotiating pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Working with project teams to ensure smooth handovers once projects are secured.
• Monitoring project budgets, variations and financial performance.
• Building long-term relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Assisting with business development by identifying upcoming project opportunities.

What We're Looking For

You'll be someone who understands both the technical and commercial aspects of electrical contracting and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Ideally you'll bring:

• Previous experience estimating commercial electrical projects.
• Strong knowledge of Australian electrical standards and construction practices.
• The ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience preparing quotations, tenders and project costings.
• Strong commercial awareness with an eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Confidence managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience using estimating or project management software.
• An electrical trade background or relevant industry experience will be highly regarded.
• Previous experience delivering or pricing council, education, healthcare or commercial projects is advantageous.
