About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Formwork Leading Hand to join our construction team on high-quality residential and commercial projects in the Gold Coast region. You will lead a small team of formwork carpenters and labourers, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of formwork carpenters and labourers on site.

• Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.

• Plan daily tasks, allocate resources, and manage workflow efficiently.

• Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations.

• Mentor and provide on-the-job training for team members.

• Liaise with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth operations.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience as a formwork carpenter with previous leading hand experience.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Ability to read and interpret plans accurately.

• Knowledge of commercial formwork systems (Peri, Doka, RMD) preferred.

• Current White Card, with additional tickets (Dogging, EWP, Rigging) advantageous.

• Commitment to safety, quality, and a positive team culture.
