Safety Officer / HSE Advisor – Tier 1 / Tier 2 Projects

 Multi-Use Development (Residential + Retail)

We are currently seeking an experienced Safety Officer / HSE Advisor with strong Queensland project experience to join our team on a large-scale multi-use development on the Gold Coast.

QLD-Specific Experience (Essential)

• Demonstrated experience working under Queensland WHS legislation and site requirements
• Strong understanding of WorkSafe Queensland regulations and compliance standards
• Proven experience on QLD-based Tier 1 or Tier 2 construction projects
• Familiarity with local authority requirements, site inspections, and reporting protocols
• Experience managing safety in live or staged environments(highly regarded)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company systems
• Manage SWMS, permits, and subcontractor safety
• Lead toolbox talks and site safety briefings
• Monitor high-risk construction activities
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety
• Construction White Card
• First Aid & CPR
• ICAM (or similar) – desirable
